Nuno de Vasconcelos, born in Santo Tirso (Portugal), completed his basic and secondary levels of musical instruction in 2007, at the Escola Profissional Artística do Vale do Ave (ARTAVE), in the classes of teachers Costa Santos, Suzanna Lidegran and Andryy Stepansky. Continued his studies on higher level at the School of Applied Arts of the Polytechnic Institute of Castelo Branco (ESART), in the class of professors Augusto Trindade, Alexandra Trindade and Daniel Rowland. He completed the Degree in Music – Instrument Variant, Violin (2010), the Master's Degree in Music – Performance (2014) and the Master's Degree in Music Teaching – Instrument and Ensemble Music (2018) at the same institution. He also has Level 3 of Teacher Training of the Spanish Federation of the Suzuki Method.
Since 2007, has been collaborating with several national and international orchestras such as the Algarve Orchestra, the Classical Orchestra of Espinho, the Póvoa de Varzim Symphony Orchestra, the Portuguese Chamber Orchestra, the Gulbenkian Orchestra, the Chamber Orchestra of Mallorca, the University of Extremadura Orchestra, the World Orchestra and, more recently, the Guimarães Orchestra, and the Orquestra Filarmonia das Beiras.
Was a member of the Orquestra Estúdio Foundation, Guimarães – European Capital of Culture 2012 and is currently a musician of the Portuguese Philharmonic Orchestra, with which he has integrated several national and international tours.
As a performer, teacher and organizer, he has been involved in different pedagogical, chamber music and orchestral projects such as the Camerata NovArte, the Arnema Orchestra, the project aCorda! by Academy of Music of Alcobaça, the Estrela Music Summer Camp, among others.
He reconciles the teaching of violin and ensemble at Academy of Alcobaça with his workshop as Assistant Professor of the Violin Class of ESART, in collaboration with professors Augusto Trindade, Alexandra Trindade and Tiago Santos. In this institution, he is also responsible for the coordination functions of the ESART Symphony Orchestra.
