About the Course

Students with this degree should be able to apply their knowledge and their ability to understand and solve problems, as well as their ability to integrate knowledge, deal with complex issues, develop solutions or make judgments.
Integrated into a polytechnic higher education institution that promotes the creation, transmission and dissemination of culture and knowledge of a professional nature, through the articulation of study, teaching, guided research and experimental development, the Master's in Graphic Design has an eminently practical curricular structure and is geared towards the reality of working in the specialty of Communication Design.
The course is the result of a partnership between the Castelo Branco School of Applied Arts and the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Lisbon, both of which felt it was important to offer this type of training and signed a protocol for this Master's in association, with a diploma certified and authorized by the Higher Education Assessment and Accreditation Agency.

This is a well-established course with a professional and eminently practical profile, in which students develop projects with companies in the region and benefit from the professional experience of national and international collaborators.
We have established partnerships with companies, professionals, research centers, business associations and business/project incubators, which give us a better understanding of the business reality and an entrepreneurial and proactive spirit.
The study cycle is structured in four semesters, two years, the first curricular and the second for the development of a dissertation, project or curricular internship. The curricular structure of the Master's in Graphic Design guarantees the acquisition of skills in the following areas in particular: Visual Identity; UX Design (interface design and user experience); Information Design (signage and static and animated infographics); Typography and Editorial Design.
