André Silva, a student on ESART’s Master’s Degree in Music Teaching, has been selected for the reserve list of the Gustav Mahler Youth Orchestra and the Beira Interior Orchestral Ensemble.

As a member of the trumpet class taught by António Quítalo and José Almeida, André Silva stands out for his talent and dedication. The Gustav Mahler Youth Orchestra (Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester), based in Vienna, Austria, was founded in 1986 by the renowned conductor Claudio Abbado and is recognized as one of the most prestigious youth orchestras in Europe.

In addition, the student was also appointed to the reserve list of the Ensemble Orquestral da Beira Interior, reinforcing his growing trajectory on the music scene.

This recognition reflects the excellence of the musical training provided by ESART and the quality of its students on the national and international scene.
