Sonhei ser atriz – Documentary

The following report describes the entire development of a documentary, carried out within the scope of the final project for the degree in Communication and Audiovisual Design. The documentary aims to address a particular perspective of the role of women in emigration, based on the story of a Portuguese lady, who has already died, resuming her journey between two geographies, two realities, the symbolic confrontation between the identity root of the place where was born and started working in a village in Beira Alta, and life's journey in search of hope for the future. This documentary therefore aims to pay tribute not only to the main protagonist, but, through her, to the emigrant women who left everything behind, except the dream, determination, courage, resilience and soul of exceptional Portuguese women, without complaining. Women who left the threshold of poverty, material and cultural, and dared to follow the paths of the unknown, of danger, of daring to believe that life is only worthy when you fight for it until the end.
