Inspired by the concept of the Matrix, ‘Hamartia’, the fatal flaw destined for a hero, focuses on its conceptualisation and reflection on human beings as inhabitants of a mundane and monotonous society. ‘Welcome to the Matrix, please choose a role and place in society and enjoy repeating the same cycle over and over again’ - we surrender our mental free will and consciousness to illusions and feelings of false security. The idea of living with ‘skeletons in the closet’ inspires reflection on this space as a portal to new versions of ourselves and other dimensions. The closet, where we keep secrets and flaws, becomes an opportunity to rethink, update and improve our own ‘programming’ as conscious and critical beings. Through this metaphor, different stages of an inner journey are explored, where the closet opens doors to realities that go beyond what the innocent eye can see. By opening and closing doors and unlocking drawers, we are invited to deconstruct our essence and reprogram the ‘self’ in search of our most authentic and evolved version.
