Guidance and public information system: Development of a European program

Today, the universal language is increasingly sought and used to transmit information in a relevant and easy-to-decode manner. In this sense, the language will have a graphic and less textual form, where the uniformity and simplicity of graphics will become extremely important for the communication between object / user. Contextualizing this concept, sign systems are the key element to transpose a message easily decoded by the user, regardless of their culture or language. With this in mind, it is intended to understand to what extent it is possible to develop a European program of a system of guidance and public information that is adaptable to several countries. In this context, the research addresses the problem of this diversity in symbol systems in Europe, where there is no system that is adaptable and standardized. The aim is to develop research on the basis of a methodology which will lead to the development of a European program for the design of a symbol system for public information.
