Essence Of The Mythical

Essence of the Mythical, inspired by Chen Rong's painting ‘Nine Dragons’, seeks to capture the tension and harmony between chaos and order, between the raw power of nature and the spirituality attributed to it by the human mind. The dragons, more than legendary creatures, are represented here as personifications of elements of nature, such as wind, turbulent waters and cosmic power. The central idea is the transformation of the symbolism and mysticism of the dragon into pieces that tell a story of power, movement and connection with nature. The range of greens and browns evokes the depth of the seas and forests, and the fluid forms and ethereal materials suggest clouds and dynamism, while more structured pieces symbolise the strength of the dragon and, by extension, natural disasters.
