João Cordeiro has been developing his artistic, scientific, and professional careers in the field of digital media, with a particular interest in the intersection between sound and visual arts, exploring both artistic and industry-oriented approaches. Highlights in his curriculum include professional experience in various international higher education institutions, where he has taught - both in-person and remotely - more than 40 academic units (in Portugal, Macau, and the United Kingdom); experience in academic coordination and design/accreditation of successful academic curricula; experience in supervising academic projects (undergraduate, master's, and doctoral); and research experience in internationally renowned institutions (Stanford University in California, Queen Mary University in London, Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm). His research interests lie in the intersection of art and technology, with his research being inherently interdisciplinary, frequently adopting mixed research methods. Currently, he holds the position of assistant professor in the Multimedia area at the School of Arts of the University of Évora.
