Jaime Pereira, a master’s student in Music Education at the School of Applied Arts (ESART) of the Polytechnic Institute of Castelo Branco (IPCB) in the percussion class of professors Bruno Costa and André Dias, was the guest on the latest Editions of A Minha Pauta on Antena 2.

Among other things, the young man, who is from Ovar and joined ESART in 2020, explains how his passion for music began with the drums, and has now led to his involvement in various orchestras and multidisciplinary projects such as the KODU Percussion Group, of which he is a member.

The programme, created by Rui Gomes, airs on Wednesdays after 3 p.m. during the Tarde Antena 2 broadcast, hosted by Mafalda Serrano. Each episode, approximately 10 minutes long, is then made available on the programme’s page on RTP Play and complemented by multimedia versions on social media.

The weekly radio show, which seeks tо explore the motivations, challenges and dreams of music students, started in 2025 with the participation of trumpeter Bruno Ribeiro Santos, a student at ESART-IPCB.

As for the students of the institution’s bachelor’s and master’s degree courses, violinists Sara Ferreira de Castro, Inês Alves Cordeiro and Mariana Costa, clarinettist Inês Pereira Simões, bassoonist Diogo Barros da Silva, flutist Ana Beatriz Pinheiro, horn player Inês Geirinhas and trumpeter Gonçalo Viana have already appeared on the programme.
