Sara Castro won 2nd prize at the XII Cidade de Vigo String Competition

Violinist Sara Castro, a student on ESART/IPCB’s Master’s programme in Music Teaching, came 2nd in Category D of the 13th edition of the prestigious ‘Cidade de Vigo’ String Competition.
The event took place between 4th and 8th December at the Conservatório Superior de Música de Vigo, bringing together 83 talented candidates from Portugal and Spain.
This award adds to a series of international recognitions of the work of Sara Castro, who has already been honoured at the Paços Premium International Competition (with the Excellence Award), in the Mediterranean Youth Orchestra and as a scholarship holder of the Portuguese Philharmonic Academic Orchestra.
