Opera DIDO AND ENEIAS – Purcell

On June 11, Henry Purcell’s opera Dido and Aeneas will take to the stage at Fábrica da Criatividade, presented by the students of the ESART/IPCB Opera Workshop. The show is the result of the work developed during the second semester, in an educational context, and is an important moment of sharing and artistic demonstration.

The choice of this classical work is no accident: its accessible structure, theatrical richness and balanced interpretative demands make it particularly suitable for training singers and actors, allowing students to explore the comic register, scene work and vocal expressiveness.

The costumes were developed by students from ESART’s Fashion and Textile Design degree course.

Open to the public, the performance is a unique opportunity to witness the school’s emerging talent and the pedagogical vitality of ESART’s artistic training.
