LOOP26 | Experimental Video Showcase

Students on the Experimental Video module of the third year of the Bachelor’s degree in Communication and Audiovisual Design at the School of Applied Arts (ESART) of the Castelo Branco Polytechnic (IPCB) are returning to the Fábrica da Criatividade, where LOOP – Experimental Video Festival will take place from 11 to 15 May.

With an approach characterised by experimentation, visual research and a direct relationship with the space, the aim is once again to reveal the young creators’ perspective on the expressive possibilities of contemporary video.

The ten immersive and interactive installations that form the basis of the 2026 edition of the event will be developed within an artist-in-residence programme. Throughout the exhibition, the resulting works aim to offer visitors a sensory experience in which moving images, sound and space intersect, inviting them to explore different interpretations and to journey through the multiple dimensions of time.

With free admission, the exhibition’s opening is scheduled for 14 May at 6.00 pm, followed by the public opening on the 15th, between 10.00 am and 2.00 pm. During the visit, it will also be possible to view audiovisual works created by ESART-IPCB students throughout the semester.
