ESART percussion students at the TROMP 2024 festival

ESART’s percussion group, made up of talented students Manuel Dias, Francisco Teixeira and Nádia Oliveira, represented the school with great distinction at the prestigious TROMP 2024 festival, held in Eindhoven, Holland, between 13 and 19 November.

During their participation, the trio presented an excellent repertoire with the works ‘Dialogues’ by Pedro Lima, ‘A Farewell to Those Left Behind’ by Tim Ferchen and ‘Small Print’ by Vasco Mendonça. The latter, in particular, has special significance as it was commissioned by the PercuArt festival and had its world premiere performed by the ESART group in July 2024.

In addition to the concert at the iconic Muziekgebouw Eindhoven, the students took part in enriching activities such as masterclasses, workshops and other concerts, deepening their knowledge and experience on one of the world’s biggest percussion stages.

This participation not only reinforces the quality of the artistic training offered by ESART, but also positions its students among the emerging talents on the international music scene.
