“Convite” Concert (Pedro Ladeira and Miguel Carvalhinho)

On 13 May, from 9.00 pm, the concert entitled ‘Convite’ will take place in the auditorium of the School of Education at the Castelo Branco Polytechnic (IPCB), featuring musicians Pedro Ladeira (clarinet) and Miguel Carvalhinho (classical guitar and viola beiroa), with a special guest appearance by Custódio Castelo (Portuguese guitar), all of  whom are lecturers at the IPCB School of Applied Arts.

Admission is free, and the event forms part of the activities organised by the IPCB Staff Club for May and June.

Update: The show served as a showcase for the eponymous album, “affinities made of music and poetry”, which includes the tracks Instante em Mi, 3 Pontos, Ó Ana, Anabela, Serenidade fica em Lá, Vai sem Preocupar, Borda Helena borda, Balada do Ponsul, O antes do princípio de uma história sem fim and Temp(l)o. Among other performances, the audience was also treated to the traditional song Viradinho ao Norte.
