22nd Poliempreende: information session at ESART
The School of Applied Arts (ESART) at the Castelo Branco Polytechnic (IPCB) will host an information session on Poliempreende next Tuesday, 24 March, from 2.30 pm in Auditorium 1.
At the seminar, led by Nuno Caseiro, the initiative’s local coordinator, and held ahead of the launch of the 22nd edition of the competition on 1 April at the IPCB School of Education, the programme’s objectives, timetable, conditions for participation and next steps will be presented.
This will be followed by two training sessions focusing on marketing and the financial tools required to draw up business plans, with the regional phase culminating in a presentation on 24 June, when the three best proposals will be recognised and the winning project selected; this project will then represent the IPCB in the national phase of Poliempreende at the University of the Algarve in September.
In addition to the cash prizes – €2,000, €1,500 and €1,000 for first, second and third place, respectively – the regional winners will have access to StartUp.CB, the IPCB’s business incubator, thereby also facilitating the search for investors or business partners.
Launched in 2003 at the IPCB and now the flagship initiative of the Poliempreende network, the competition aims to promote entrepreneurship and a business mindset among students, graduates, lecturers and researchers from all polytechnic higher education institutions, independent higher education institutions and university polytechnic schools across the country who wish to test a business idea and turn it into innovative projects.
