As part of the Graphic Production and Design and Technologies courses, respectively in the second year of the Communication and Audiovisual Design degree and the first year of the Master’s in Graphic Design, a trip was made on 10 November to the companies Maiadouro – Indústria Gráfica, S.A., in Maia, and Multitema, MCD – Comunicação Digital, Lda., in Oporto.

This educational activity, which is essential to the teaching-learning process, allowed students to come into direct contact with real-life graphic production contexts, consolidating their technical knowledge and bringing them closer to professional practices in the sector.

The initiative, which involved around 40 students, was organised by teachers Isabel Lopes de Castro, Célia Barreto and Rogério Ribeiro.

The visit provided an integrated view of the production stages, from offset printing to large format digital printing, reinforcing the importance of understanding technical processes in the development of graphic design and visual communication projects.
