Alexandra Trindade completed her studies at the Academia de Música de Paços de Brandão and completed her degree in Instrument (violin) at the Escola Superior de Música e Artes do Espetáculo do Porto. She has a Master's degree in Music Teaching and a postgraduate degree in Music from the University of Aveiro. She holds the title of Performance Specialist. She received a scholarship from the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation. She attended masterclasses with professors Gerardo Ribeiro, Vladimir Ovcharek, Daniel Stabrawa and Christian Stadelmann. She was soloist with several orchestras, including the Symphonic Orchestra of the State University of Campinas (Brazil), the Orchestra of the University of Extremadura (Spain), and the Portuguese Philharmonic Orchestra. He obtained several awards and merit scholarships from the Espinho City Council, the Polytechnic Institute of Porto and a Merit Scholarship from the University of Aveiro, the Fundação Eng. António de Almeida award and 2nd prize in the Prémio Jovens Músicos 2001, in the higher level chamber music category. She guided masterclasses at the State University of Campinas (Brazil), SESI/FIEC (Fortaleza, Brazil), CCM/ARTAVE, Porto Music Conservatory, Coimbra Aveiro and Braga Calouste Gulbenkian. She was assistant concertmaster of the Póvoa de Varzim Symphony Orchestra, between 2002 and 2010. Its class includes award-winning students, with emphasis on the European Union Youth Orchestra, World Orchestra, Mediterranean Youth Orchestra, Clara Schumann International Competition. She was Principal Second Violin of Portuguese Philharmonic Orchestra and violin teacher and president of the Pedagogical Direction Paços de Brandão Music Academy; she teaches at ESART and she is member of Scientific Commission of the Masters in Music.
