Recodificação do edifício da Oficina da Regueifa e do Biscoito para uma Fábrica da Criatividade

This report aims to present the Hinal project for the creation of Fábrica da Criatividade, developed as
part of the Interior Design and Equipment course at the School of Applied Arts, part of the Castelo Branco
Polytechnic Institute.
The space selected for the intervention is the OHicina da Regueifa e do Biscoito building, located in
Valongo. It will be refurbished to house the Creativity Factory, a multifunctional center designed to
promote local culture, enhance the region's traditions and offer an environment conducive to innovation
and creative collaboration.
The choice of this historic building not only rescues and preserves the cultural identity of the area,
but also takes advantage of its central location to revitalize the city center. The infrastructure will be
adapted to include exhibition spaces, collaborative work areas, meeting rooms and an auditorium, thus
providing a welcoming environment that combines modernity with the authenticity of local architecture.
This project aims to attract and support artists, entrepreneurs and the local community, encouraging
social interaction and cultural exchange. By enriching Valongo with a space dedicated to creativity, the
project contributes to strengthening local identity and celebrating the region's rich history, brands and
traditions.
