Jardim de infância, Proença-a-Nova

This work is part of the Interior Design and Equipment Project course taught at the School of Applied Arts of the Castelo Branco Polytechnic Institute. Its purpose is to present my Final Degree Project, with the choice of one of the curricular strands: Interior Design or Equipment Design.
This project will be developed in Interior Design, given my greater experience and skills in this area. However, throughout the project, equipment will also be developed according to the needs identified. The decision to prioritize this area is based on the urgent need presented by the town of Proença-a-Nova. The aim is to develop a project that satisfies one of the local needs and, at the same time, to apply all the lessons learned during my academic training.
For the Final Project, we propose the rehabilitation of part of a building scheduled for restoration in the year 2023, in the 21st century. The building is located at Rua de Santa Cruz 91, Proença-a-Nova, Castelo Branco district, and consists of four floors. The second floor and the attic are the targets of the rehabilitation, while the second and third floors consist of one and two bedroom apartments, which are currently being rehabilitated.
The building is identified as private property, and the proposal is to rehabilitate it to create a kindergarten. This decision is motivated by the fact that there is only one kindergarten in the entire locality, which does not fully meet the demand observed in and around the town of Proença-a-Nova.
