ESART students visit Maison&Objet 2026
Date
27/01/2026
A group of students from the Interior Design and Equipment degree course at the School of Applied Arts (ESART) of the Polytechnic Institute of Castelo Branco (IPCB) attended Maison&Objet 2026, an event that brought together leading professionals, brands and designers from around the world at the Paris Nord Villepinte Exhibition Centre between 15 and 19 January.
Participation in what is one of the most important international trade fairs dedicated to interior design, decoration and lifestyle allowed the ESART-IPCB delegation to come into direct contact with the professional world of design, covering areas such as furniture, lighting, textiles, ceramics, decorative objects and innovative solutions for contemporary living.
In this vein, the visit was a unique opportunity for observation, learning and updating on trends, providing not only a critical reading of the emerging languages, production processes and conceptual approaches that currently shape interior design internationally, but also strengthening the link between academic teaching, professional practice and the international context of contemporary design.
Recognised as a trends laboratory, Maison&Objet is organised into thematic areas and features around 2,300 brands from more than 140 countries, complementing the exhibition with an extensive programme of conferences, lectures and curatorial installations dedicated to innovation and reflection on the future of the sector.
In parallel, Maison&Objet In The City extended the experience to the centre of the French capital, through a tour of showrooms, galleries and creative spaces, reinforcing the connection between the event and the cultural fabric of the city.
