3rd Internal Chamber Music Competition

With the aim of encouraging the practice of chamber music, promoting knowledge of different repertoires, providing healthy artistic competition and drawing attention to the importance of chamber music practice in the training of musicians, the School of Applied Arts (ESART) of the Polytechnic Institute of Castelo Branco (IPCB) presents the 3rd Internal Chamber Music Competition.

In the 2026 edition, the competition for students enrolled at the IPCB is open for registration until 15 April (via form), and complete scores must be submitted in accordance with the conditions set out in the regulations, which can be consulted below. The preliminary round will take place on 22 April, while the final round will take place on 27 May, both in auditorium 1 of ESART.

The groups that stand out in the top three places will participate in the winners’ concert. In addition to the right to make a professional recording, the group ranked first will give a solo recital at Solar dos Zagalos, in Almada, on 11 June.
