In a world where information is delivered to us in seconds and in enormous quantities, misinformation reigns supreme. Misinformation impoverishes us. It is difficult to distinguish facts from distorted perspectives of reality. In the Western world, there is a rift between citizens, fuelling conflicts, prejudices and stereotypes in an endless cycle of hatred. This collection proposes to transpose social and political reflection into aesthetic and visual language, exploring misinformation as a central theme and inviting the public to consider the harsh realities of urban life, challenging romanticised views of the country. It seeks to convey a look at our streets and the things that are normally ignored.
