Hot afternoons and a feeling of stagnation that leaves us susceptible to our own minds. I use the cicada to represent the thoughts that consume us and lead to a change that is built little by little. We persist, despite having everything, always seeking the light, and sunflowers grow in the holes left by insects. This collection represents this cycle of construction, destruction and rebirth, which in my life has been linked to summer and has always led me to other seasons. Happiness, like tragedy, is also built day by day, like a seed germinating.
