This report addresses the problem in relation to the areas of information design and guidance in the Francisco Tavares Proença Júnior Museum (MFTPJ). Being such an important museum for the region, this pilot project proposes an informative, orienting, and interactive restructuring, with the aim of re-establishing and increasing the influx of visits to the exhibitions of this museum collection, and its presentation and informative enrichment for visitors, with the permanent exhibition of Sacred Art being the main focus of this group. Then, a study was carried out through dissertations, statistical data and other bibliographic documents, addressing some important topics related to museology, tourism, communication and information design, interaction in museum spaces, finally, the audiovisual, to understand how museums behave and what is their importance for local communities and tourists. Consecutively, some museums with certain characteristics were selected to understand how these spaces communicate, what the visitors' experience is like, what technological means they use, what their signage system is, the colors used for the various information supports in these buildings, and if they use websites. After verifying the problems of the museum (MFTPJ), a diagnosis was carried out based on the case studies (museums) previously analyzed, where it was concluded the means that would be implemented to obtain a better visiting experience and increase the tourist affluence of the museum collection in question. Finally, a communication strategy was defined for the Francisco Tavares Proença Júnior Museum (MFTPJ), through digital media, pedagogical programs, social networks, among others, to cover a greater number of audiences, and bring more visitors to the physical space of this museum collection and thus enhancing its communication.
