Rotas de Mação Association

Within the extent of the class of Communication and Audiovisual Design Project, at the concluision of the Degree in Communication and Audiovisual Design at the Escola Superior de Artes Aplicada, whitch belongs to the Instituto Politécnico de Castelo Branco, it was proposed to the students the design and creation of a project to complete the course and acquire the title of Graduate, a project que envolvs a real cliente in order to the some little experience of what it's going to be like to work on a real project in the world of business. For this purpose, this project has as a client the Associação Rotas de Mação working with them whom, as the name implies, works with the promotion, dissemination and protection of pedestrian routes that belong to the Municipality of Mação. The objective of this project is to create an appropriate communication strategy, with several information and communication supports that are efficient in the dissemination and promotion of routes, meeting the visions and values that the Rotas de Mação Association has. This Association was chosen to carry out the final project due to the author's personal connection with the Municipality of Mação, as well as the inadequacy of the association's means of communication with their possible potential. It is important to mention that the fires of 2017 had a large impact on the Municipality of Mação, leaving a large part of the forest destroyed and thus damaging the heritage. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Associação Rotas de Mação had to pause the construction, registration and creation of the means of communication for its routes, so only 5 of the 14 available routes are completed, as they are only currently returning to work. . The intention of this project is to show the potential of what this Association will be able to achieve, without great costs and in order to encourage tourism in the area.
