Visual identity of the 2025 Tagus Flavors Fair bears the signature of an ESART/IPCB student
Date
02/07/2025
Martim de Oliveira Valente Baleiras, who has a degree in Communication Design and Audiovisual Production from IPCB’s School of Applied Arts, was responsible for the Visual Identity of the 2025 edition of the Tagus Flavors Fair, an event promoted by the Vila Velha de Ródão Municipality and held on June 27, 28 and 29.
The graphic concept developed aims to reflect the cultural, historical and human richness of the region, through a contemporary and symbolic approach. The main inspiration for the project was the work of Master Manuel Cargaleiro, a key figure in Portuguese art, whose geometric language and vibrant use of color were central elements in the visual construction of the event.
The color palette used symbolically translates the region’s values and products:
– Red: the human warmth of the people of Vila Velha;
– Blue: the River Tagus;
– Beige: the traditional bakery;
– Yellow: cheese and honey;
– Purple: wine;
– Green: nature and olive oil.
The end result is a visual image that pays homage not only to a master of the arts, but also to the entire local identity, helping to position the Tagus Flavors Fair as a benchmark event on the regional scene. This collaboration is also a reflection of the quality of ESART’s training and the talent of its students.
