Inês Filipe is one of the most active pianists of her generation. She has won numerous prizes in national and international piano competitions, such as the Frederico de Freitas Interpretation Prize, Paços Premium, CMACG Piano Competitions, Elisa Pedroso, Cidade do Fundão International Competition, and the “Antena2 Prize” at the XVII SIPO International Piano Festival, under the watchful eye of a prestigious panel of judges that included Boris Berman, Luiz de Moura Castro, Josep Colom and Paul Badura-skoda.

She regularly performs as a soloist in recitals and has already performed in numerous countries such as Spain, England, France, Italy, Thailand, Belgium, Germany, Panama, Costa Rica and Malaysia. In Portugal, she has performed solo at the SIPO International Piano Festival; PianoPorto Festival, National Music Museum; Autumn Festivals; “Hands on Piano 2018” Cycle; Belém Music Days (CCB); Coimbra Concert Cycle; Marvão International Music Festival; among others.

She has great versatility when it comes to choosing and performing piano repertoire, including concert works ranging from Bach to contemporary music. Her interest in modern and contemporary Portuguese music means that she plays an active role in promoting it, with several premieres of works by Portuguese composers. In recent years, as well as conventional classical recital projects, she has also dedicated herself to numerous multidisciplinary performance and theater-music projects, having collaborated on recreations of performances by Constança Capdeville, among others.

Her CV already includes a CD recorded for the renowned DaVinci-Classics label with solo piano works by Claude Debussy, and another CD dedicated to works by Portuguese composers with the Musicamera-Produções label featuring recordings by Portuguese composers.

Throughout his artistic career he has deepened his knowledge in piano masterclasses with the most renowned pianists such as Paul Badura-Skoda, Josep Colom, Constantin Sandu, Luiz de Moura Castro, Aquilles Delle Vigne, Paulo Oliveira, Luis Pipa, Fernando Rossano, Constantin Ionescu-Vovu, Boris Berman, among others.

She attended the CMACG, in the class of Prof. Patrícia Sousa. She studied piano performance at the Conservatorio Stanislao Giacomantonio in Italy, the Conservatori Superior del Liceu in Barcelona, the University of Aveiro and piano teaching at the University of Minho, having studied with Rodolfo Rubino, Josep Colom, Fausto Neves and Luís Pipa. He is currently studying for a PhD in Cultural Sciences at the University of Minho, in collaboration with the FCSH Nova University in Lisbon.
