Pedro Ladeira, a clarinetist and educator, began his musical studies at age 9 and graduated from the Escola Superior de Artes Aplicadas. He holds a Master's in Musical Arts and was awarded Specialist in Musical Performance/Chamber Music in 2014. He has won awards like the 1st Prize in Woodwinds at the Juventude Musical Portuguesa Competition (1995) and 3rd Prize in Chamber Music at the Prémio Jovens Músicos (2002). He has performed as a soloist with various orchestras and has been part of groups such as João Roiz Ensemble and Custódio Castelo Trio. He currently teaches Clarinet and Chamber Music at the Escola Superior de Artes Aplicadas of the Polytechnic Institute of Castelo Branco.
