Luísa Correia Castilho received her PhD in Music and Musicology from the University of Évora with the dissertation entitled As obras de Manuel de Tavares e o desenvolvimento da policoralidade na polifonia portuguesa do século XVII (September 2009). He has a Master's degree in Musical Sciences, from the University of Coimbra, with a dissertation on music at the Cathedral of Castelo Branco, a Degree in Musical Sciences from the Universidade Nova de Lisboa and the General Singing and Piano Course, from the Castelo Branco Conservatory. She works as Coordinating Professor at the Escola Superior de Artes Aplicadas of the Castelo Branco Polytechnic Institute. She is a member of the IPCB Ethics Committee, ESART Representative of GAENEE and Vice-President of the ESART Technical-Scientific Council. She is an integrated member of CESEM – Center for Sociology and Musical Aesthetics Studies and a contributing member of Age.comm – Interdisciplinary Research Unit – Aging Communities. She participated in congresses, courses, seminars and conferences, national and international, within the scope of musicology and education. She has published articles in national and international magazines.
