Cristina Queijeiro Almeida has a degree in Textile Engineering - Clothing branch and a Master's degree in Textile Production Management. She is currently studying for a PhD in Textile Engineering at the University of Minho. She has been a lecturer at ESART/IPCB since 2001 and has been an Adjunct Professor since 2009. She is responsible for the curricular units Modeling I and II; Clothing I and II; Project Management in Design; Computer-Aided Clothing Design, Computer-Aided Textile Design and Computer-Aided Modeling. She has been a member of various Institution bodies such as the IPCB General Council, the Scientific Technical Council, the Council of Representatives and the ESART Pedagogical Council. She was coordinator of the Fashion and Textile Design degree course between 2010 and 2015.
Between 2001 and 2005 she was a trainer at ESTEBI - Escola Tecnológica da Beira Interior, part of AFTEBI - Associação para a Formação Tecnológica e Profissional da Beira Interior, teaching Textile CAD I and Textile CAD II on the Textile Design course (level IV technological specialization course) and Clothing Technology on the Textile Product Technician course (level III technological specialization course).
She was also a secondary school teacher between 1998 and 2000, teaching Physical Chemistry to the 8th, 9th and 12th grades.
Between 1996 and 1998 she was responsible for Cutting Planning and Operator of the CAD Modeling/Cutting System (Modaris, Diamino and Otiplan from Lectra) at Benoli Confeções in Tortosendo, Covilhã.
